This full moon happens in the midst of a planetary orchestra that welcomes a new age within yourself. You have probably read something along those lines a lot in the last weeks. And that’s because there is really something going on. You may feel it in the form of a strong pull, a strong push or a sense of discomfort. There might be pressure in your life right now. And this force is meant to bring you somewhere – I believe it is towards your new self, your new values and your new rules.
Short recap: This full moon in the sign of Taurus highlights the Venus aspects. If you remember, Venus just made a conjunction with Saturn and the North Node. This triple conjunction was happening on the 22nd April. This conjunction showed you a glimpse of insights of where your path is meant to lead you now, where your growth aligns with your values, sense of beauty and your responsible, adult self. Afterwards, Venus met Saturn again in a perfect conjunction from the 25th and 26th April figuring out how to live our values and our best live while being responsible and doing the things right. All of this was happening in Pisces, urging us to let go of control, believing in a bigger vision and integrating our trust in a higher power and our inner voice.
The embodiment of change
This new moon is happening on the 27th April 2025, right after the big council of Venus and Saturn in Pisces, right next to the North Node, which gives an indication that whatever is happening right now will have long-term implications for the future.
The new moon always stands for new beginnings, while the full moon always represents the end of a cycle. But this New Moon in Taurus is an orchestra for itself – with some new music. Taurus is connected to the planet Venus, a New Moon here may stand for the start of a new way of treating ourselves, a new self-love and self-conciousness that emerges, as a consequence of our development since the last New Moon in Taurus, which happened on the 7th May 2024.
In the midst of all the pressure to let go of control, to stop forcing our expectations on our future, the New Moon is a call for groundedness. Taurus is connected to the body and the earth. It is time to let yourself grow new roots, feel your body and its connection to the divine (Venus in Pisces).
The 5 senses and the body are really activated. If you don’t feel good in your body right now, there is a change that you are resisting some change that would be good for you. Take into account your health routines, the way you treat your body – do you give it enough space in your daily routines? Do you give yourself time to relax and unwind? Do you enjoy food with its smells and tastes? If not, the New Moon may be an invitation to change this.
You need a strong foundation to live a fulfilling live and to be resilient in the face of change and transformation.
New Moon in Taurus meeting Chiron – From Flame to Flesh, From Wound to Root
We also have to take into consideration that the moon meets Chiron, the wounded healer, in the last degrees of Aries, just before entering into Taurus and forming the New Moon. When the Moon meets Chiron in Aries just before the New Moon in Taurus, there’s a journey from wounding to grounding, from raw vulnerability to embodied stability. Just before the new beginnings that the Moon in Taurus brings up some old wounds and some unhealed trauma of past battles, of moments we felt too exposed, too unworthy, too much—or not enough. The moon here reminds us that healing begins when we allow ourselves to feel, not flee.
Only after this encounter does the Moon move into Taurus and darken into the New Moon form, teaching us that stability is not found by avoiding our pain, but by allowing it, holding space for it and healing it by growing deeper roots within yourself. This is a New Moon that says: root yourself in what is real—even if it grew out of struggle. Turn pain or discomfort into presence. Let longing of the North Node, Venus and Saturn in Pisces become devotion and groundedness in Taurus.
The Taurus energy allows us to go slow, even within chaos. It heals through touch, through rhythm, through time and through connection to earth.
Mars Opposite Pluto in T-square with the New Moon – not for the faint of heart
As it there wasn’t enough going on, the Mars-Pluto opposition is increasing the pressure further. When Mars, the God of war, meets Pluto, representing Hades, the ruler of the underworld, in opposition, a powerful tension emerges—one that speaks of drive versus domination, action versus transformation, and the ego’s will versus the soul’s deeper agenda.
This aspect can result in determination, resilience, and a clear path of action —but only when the battle for control of Mars and Pluto integrates both – the heart and the collective progress.
Let the new beginnings unfold
Remember that Taurus is connected to Fortuna. The Goddess of abundance, of fertility and of luck. This New Moon happens within so much opposting energy, North Node – South Node very active and Mars – Pluto very active. The abundance will not come easy. But it will come. Do not stick with control too much and connect to what is real and what is of real value. This New Moon marks a leap after the struggles of the last weeks and days. See what live brings you to unfold. After all, we can take it from at the plants and flowers – it takes a while, but eventually they will bloom.
