Leading ourselves towards transformation

As if there wasn’t enough going on right now, the Mars-Pluto opposition is increasing the pressure further. When Mars, the God of war, meets Pluto, representing Hades, the ruler of the underworld, in opposition, a powerful tension emerges—one that speaks of drive versus domination, action versus transformation, and the ego’s will versus the soul’s deeper agenda.

Mars wants to act, conquer, assert. It represents our personal will, desire, sexuality, and aggression. Pluto, however, goes deeper—it reveals the hidden motives behind our actions, the unconscious compulsions, the ancestral wounds, and the transformative forces of death and rebirth.

This opposition lasts from the 25th – 28th April and it brings with it a lot of power. Mars in Leo wants to lead, to shine, to create from the heart and express itself. It represents our desire to be seen and acknowledged and to take action. Therefore, Mars in Leo can help us to take action from the depth of our heart, it can bring with it the power of love. In Leo, Mars is a Soldier of Love.

The only problem is that Pluto challenges us to question what our heart really wants. What do you use this incredible power for?

Pluto puts us under a lot of pressure. It wants something from us that our ego might not want. It reminds us of our role in society and urges us (it may feel like force) to use our power to fulfill this role that we have in the collective. Pluto may cause you to feel uncomfortable and wanting to escape, as with Pluto it is much rather “you must” instead of “you may”. Here you are asked to be very careful. Does Pluto represent something dark that wants to force you and manipulate you? Pluto represents the underworld, hidden agendas and also dark forces. This opposition demands our full awareness. It externalizes the dynamic—often projecting Pluto’s intense, shadowy forces onto others, inviting conflict, power struggles, or control dynamics in relationships and pursuits. We may encounter figures who seem to block or dominate us—only to later realize they mirror our own disowned power or rage.

In direct opposition, Pluto in Aquarius wants to integrate the soul karma with collective transformation. It seeks for change not to the individual ego, but to the systems we are part of. It speaks of the connection to others and or role in the big picture.

My advise is to check carefully, what it is that you feel pressured from. Is it something that is taking away your power? Or does it empower you in the longrun? Does Pluto want you to grow and use your power for it? Or does it want to dominate you to lead you away from your heart?

No pressure – but Pluto is known for having its way. It wants to assert that your soul learns a few lessons and sometimes it leads us to dark territories. Make your choices now while taking into account all aspects, not just your desire to act and to take leadership of your destiny. There are some forces that influence or destiny and shape it together with us.
Venus will be in retrograde in Scorpio, the sign that is connected to Pluto, next year 3rd October until 13 November. If you fail to integrate all of yourself now, Venus may remind you of it next year.

The North Node comes to help

The North Node is in Pisces and has just met with Venus and Saturn. Pluto is strong, but not as strong as those three. If you are unsure of what Pluto wants from you, The North Node in Pisces may help you. Pisces stands for letting go of control, but also absolute power when in alignment with our destiny. Pisces is our connection to God and the divine. It is connected to our dreams and the highest vibration of our hearts. In its negative energy though – Pisces can represent drugs, alcohol, fog and deception.

To access the help of the North Node, it is now time to let go of your expectations and stick to your values and upgrade yourself while taking the responsibility for your actions. Sleep, allow yourself to dream, meditate and pray. As Venus is still very close, it might also help to connect to women and seek advice and inspiration there.

Times are wild – this aspect can result in determination, resilience, and focus—but only when the battle for control integrates everything. The invitation is to transform the brute force of Mars into conscious empowerment from the depth of our soul and to channel raw instinct into purpose. This might be a doorway – into a more visionary kind of power, one that blends charisma with insight, heart with humanity.

Some questions for you to reflect on

  • Where in my life do I feel locked in a power struggle?
  • When I act, am I in control of my impulses, or are deeper forces pulling the strings?
  • What must symbolically “die” in me to access a more empowered, authentic self?
  • Am I expressing my gifts with authenticity—or performing for approval?
  • What is the deeper purpose behind my creative drive? Can it serve a greater vision?
  • How can I balance the fire of my individuality with the winds of change around me?
